How Vitassium Works
Conditions like POTS or OH are types of dysautonomia, which is a breakdown of the systems that control “automatic functions” like heartbeat and digestion. These conditions may occur on their own or as the result of conditions like Ehlers Danlos Syndrome (EDS), Myalgic Encephalomyelitis / Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS), Sjögren's, and Long COVID, among others.
If you’ve been diagnosed with any of these conditions, your doctor might have told you to "eat more salt and drink more water.”
Increasing sodium and water intake can help counteract low blood pressure, low blood volume, and lead to an overall improvement in distribution of blood throughout the body. This can reduce common symptoms of lightheadedness and fatigue.

4. I thought sodium was the only thing I needed to increase. Why do I need the potassium?
Vitassium contains potassium to assist in regulating the balance of water between plasma (blood) and within the cell.
In scientific terms, potassium is critical in the body for a variety of biochemical processes. One important function of potassium is to regulate the balance of water between plasma (blood) and within the cell. Providing sufficient building blocks for the body to self-regulate can be important. Vitassium contains an appropriate amount of potassium to assist in that regard. In general, excess potassium is excreted in the urine.
5. What about fluid intake?
Increasing fluid intake is necessary to maximize the benefits of higher salt intake. Most experts recommend consuming 2-3 liters of hydrating fluids per day. Everyone is different, so ask your doctor how much salt and fluid intake is right for you.
6. Vitassium is expensive. Are there any discounts or cheaper options?

14. What does Vitassium have to do with Dysautonomia International?
We established a relationship with Dysautonomia International in 2016 to help support their research efforts towards treatment of autonomic diseases, including POTS, and we remain proud partners today. Dysautonomia International is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that assists with research, patient support and public education of autonomic dysfunction.

Refunds within the United States
If you ordered from a U.S. mailing address and need to request a refund, please contact us within 30 days of receiving your order with your order number and why you’re requesting a refund. In most cases, we’ll be able to issue a full refund. Refund requests submitted more than 30 days after receiving your order will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
Refunds outside of the United States
For purchases made outside of the United States, including Australia and Canada, we are unable to offer refunds for any reason, due to importation fees.
